It was a great privilege to be one of the first holders of the Mills Williams Junior Fellowship. Receiving the award came at a crucial time as I was preparing to leave the comfortable world of education and setting out on the challenging road of building a career in the music business.

The financial support enabled me to concentrate on gaining performing experience, building my repertoire and entering competitions, which in turn led to many exciting engagements all over the world. The opportunity to coach singers and chamber music groups at College was also invaluable.
