Will Pate
Baritone Will Pate studied French at Magdalen College Oxford, then worked as music teacher in a state academy before starting on the Royal Academy of Music’s MA course in 2017. He is now studying on the Royal Academy Opera School with Alex Ashworth and Matt Fletcher.
During his Masters he won the Clifton Singing Prize for Best Final Recital, and was highly commended in the Major Van Someren-Godfrey Prize for English Song.
Will performs widely as an oratorio soloist, and last year sang in concerts at the Royal Opera House in Muscat, Oman.
In Summer 2021 Will is looking forward to performing the role of Sorceress in RAO’s production of Dido and Aeneas. He is grateful for the generosity of the the Mills-Williams Award which supports his studies.
